City of Norwich School celebrates fantastic student achievements

Students and staff at City of Norwich School are celebrating today after receiving their A-level results, enabling them to secure places at their prestigious universities, on coveted apprenticeships and selected jobs.

The sixth form students at CNS have achieved some excellent results which reflect the hard work and commitment shown throughout their studies.

Students across the academy performed well, with some of the individual standout achievements including:

Christopher Brooke who achieved four A*s in maths, further maths, music and physics and will be going on to study composition at a conservatoire following a gap year

Benjamin Jordan who achieved three A*s in maths, further maths and physics and an A in Geography and will be going on to study maths at Warwick University

Hannah Wilson Kemsley who achieved three A*s in maths, further maths and geography and an A in physics and will be going on to study earth sciences at Oxford University

Ryan Le Brun who achieved three A*s in maths, biology and chemistry and will be going on to study biochemistry at York University.

Jo Philpott, headteacher said: “We are absolutely thrilled with the excellent results our students have achieved this year with over 200 A*/A grades. The class of 2022 have faced challenging circumstances over the last three years and shown resilience and determination in their studies. These excellent results will enable our students to progress to exciting and ambitious destinations including four Oxbridge places, and competitive apprenticeships; we all wish them success for their future.

“My thanks go to our amazing staff who have provided superb teaching and guidance, and to parents for supporting us and their children throughout their CNS sixth form experience.”
