Easter eggstravaganza at Ormiston Meadows Academy

Pupils and staff at Ormiston Meadows Academy, enjoyed their annual Easter Bonnet Parade, as part of the Easter assembly.

Pupils at the academy showcased their creative talents with a wonderful variety of bonnets on display.

The winning entries received Easter Eggs, kindly donated by parents and local shops, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose and the Co-Operative.

The academy also welcomed residents from Beverstone Court, a local retirement community, who watched and participated in the assembly, as well as knitting Easter chicks for the pupils.

Reverend Gower, from Christ Church, led the assembly and also served as head judge for the Easter Bonnet Competition, awarding prizes for the most creative and impressive bonnets.

Jean Watt, Principal of Ormiston Meadows Academy, said:

"Our Easter Bonnet Parade is always a school favourite with the pupils, providing them with an opportunity to showcase their creativity."

"We would like to thank the parents and local supermarkets for their generous donations that made this possible, their kind support is very much appreciated. We were also very pleased to welcome local residents into the special assembly to share in the Easter fun."
