We are pleased to announce the appointment of Aron Whiles as the new Regional Director for OAT’s Eastern region.
Aron is currently the Principal of Broadland High Ormiston Academy in Norfolk and during his four-year headship, has successfully led the school through numerous significant milestones and achievements.
Aron will continue to lead Broadland through the summer term and will be working very closely with the academy in his new capacity as Regional Director from 1September. Long-standing and well-regarded Vice Principal Simon Laycock will then be taking on the reins as Acting Principal, until an incumbent principal is appointed for January.
Simon is expertly placed to drive Broadland forward in the interim, having been Vice Principal at the academy for over 10 years. He has a wealth of experience and knowledge of the academy and the wider school community, and has developed strong relationships with staff, students and families which will support the smooth transition come September.
Aron, Simon, the senior leadership team and OAT will be working together to appoint a high-calibre Principal who shares their same high expectations for Broadland, which celebrated its highest GCSE performance last summer under the new framework.
In Aron’s new capacity as Regional Director, he will be providing invaluable support to Principals and senior leaders across OAT’s Eastern region, including Broadland High Ormiston Academy.
