Executive Principal at Ormiston Bolingbroke Academy, John Rigby, said:

"This is the first year of the new GCSEs, and English and Maths are tougher than in previous years, with new grades introduced as well.  So, for some of our students to have achieved a Level 9 in English or Maths makes me exceptionally proud as these levels are awarded to the top 2% in the country. Our students and staff have worked so hard and they have achieved stunning results across the whole range of subjects on offer at OBA. This is a testament to their hard work, talent and dedication, and our students have fully deserved their outstanding grades.

"As a school we have always focused on the achievement of every student and these results bear out our commitment. I would also like to thank all parents and carers for their support and encouragement- it was great to so many of them here today celebrating with our students and staff."

Nick Hudson, CEO of Ormiston Academies Trust, said:

"It is our absolute priority to ensure that every student fulfils their potential, no matter what their background, and we are delighted to see these results from Ormiston Bolingbroke Academy. Students, staff and parents deserve great credit for these results which reflect their commitment and determination to succeed and we look forward to building on these achievements year after year.
