Ormiston Shelfield Community Academy celebrate achievements

Students and staff at Ormiston Shelfield Community Academy are celebrating after receiving their A-level results, enabling students to progress into their chosen universities, sought-after apprenticeships and excellent jobs.

The sixth form students at Ormiston Shelfield Community Academy have achieved some fantastic results which reflect the hard work and commitment shown throughout their studies. Students across the academy performed well, with some of the individual standout achievements including:

  • Gabrielle Hathaway who achieved grade A in business studies and sociology and a grade B in psychology, she will be going on to study criminology and psychology at Liverpool John Moores University
  • Ben Rawlings who achieved a grade A in Biology and grade B’s in business studies, chemistry and maths, he will be going on to study economics and management at Aston University.
  • Lucy Worrallo who achieved a grade B in English, grade B in psychology and a Distinction*/Distinction* in sport, she will be going on to study sport and exercise psychology at Loughborough University.

Stuart Turnbull, principal said: “We are delighted to see our students receiving their results today, all of which are hugely deserved after working so hard over the last two years. We are very proud of the next steps all our students will be taking and would like to thank them for their dedication throughout their time at Shelfield.

“I would like to sincerely thank the entire Shelfield community for their ongoing support and we really look forward to seeing our students go on to achieve brilliant things.”
