Putting e-safety first at Ormiston Meadows Academy
Putting e-safety first at Ormiston Meadows Academy
14 February, 2020
Ormiston Meadows Academy recently held an E-Safety Day to promote the safe and positive use of digital technology for pupils and parents as part of Safer Internet Day.
As
e-safety becomes an increasingly pressing issue for parents, the school wanted to
equip them with the necessary knowledge to keep their children protected
online, so that the whole family can enjoy the internet securely.
Principal
Kelly Moore welcomed parents to a workshop, providing guidance on how to keep
children safe in the online world including on computers, mobile phones and
games consoles. Pupils then spent a day looking at the benefits and dangers of
using technology through drama, art and online activities.
Principal,
Mrs Kelly Moore said:
“I would
like to thank all the parents who attended our E-Safety Workshop. We all rely
on technology in our everyday lives and E-Safety Day provides a focus for
pupils, parents and staff to renew their online safety awareness, ensuring we
use digital technology in a safe and positive way.”
