Cowes Enterprise College is a wonderful place to work and develop as a teacher. We are excited about you coming to join our team!

This role offers an exciting opportunity and challenge for a high calibre, versatile and enthusiastic leader to join and lead a strong and successful Science and Technology faculty.

We are able to offer an excellent package of support and benefits for the right candidates:

  • a generous relocation and/or recruitment package for the right candidate.
  • leading a talented Science and Technology faculty which includes a Deputy Director in charge of Technology.
  • a strong culture of professional development.
  • superb, state-of-the-art facilities.
  • an Ofsted ‘Good’ school with high standards and high expectations.
  • collaborative opportunities from Ormiston Academies Trust.

We are fortunate to have cutting edge facilities here in our purpose built and highly inspirational building.  In September 2019, the Academy was awarded a substantial grant dedicated to STEM delivery across the Year 7 and 8 curriculum.

This is a key leadership role in the Academy. The successful candidate will need to be:

  • a qualified teacher, able to deliver consistently good and better lessons across the age-groups of the Academy
  • ambitious to develop the potential of our students
  • a competent leader, able to take responsibility for the leadership of this department
  • a good colleague, who can work with the other members of the Science and Technology faculty and the wider staff in the best interests of our students and the Academy

All teachers at Cowes are expected to participate fully in the wider life of the academy. Teaching staff are required to meet the core standards within the framework of the Professional Standards for Teachers in England. There is an effective system for the performance management and professional development of all staff.
