An opportunity has arisen in the SEND department for Learning Support Assistants to join the team. The role of the Learning Support Assistant involves specialised support for those students in school who have additional needs/SEND.

The successful candidates will need to possess a genuine interest in young people and an insight into how they learn. Patience, flexibility and firmness are very important personal traits alongside good literacy/numeracy and ICT skills. The successful candidates should show the ability to use initiative to support students’ individual needs and to work as part of a large team. A commitment to, and experience of working with, young people with SEND and emotional/social difficulties would be an advantage. Most of the LSA’s work takes place in mainstream classrooms or in small groups. The post holder(s) may also be required to work one to one with a physically disabled student, including personal care. For more details please email hr@cns-school.org.
