This is an incredible opportunity for you to make a difference and join a great team of people within the Head Office of a values-led organisation. Ormiston Academies Trust (OAT) is one of the largest not-for-profit multi-academy trusts (MATs) in England. MATs are charities that run schools. We have been around since 2009 which makes us one of the longest established trusts. We are also one of the largest with almost 5,000 staff and 29,000 students.
We are looking for a Safeguarding and Compliance Manager to join us and ensure that we continue to meet our statutory and internal safeguarding compliance requirements efficiently and effectively throughout the Trust. This role will report into the Head of Governance and be based in Birmingham although we can offer some degree of flexibility. Travel to multiple sites in our network will be a regular requirement of this role.
If you are an excellent communicator with relevant experience in this field and a drive to deliver workable solutions, this could be the ideal role for you!
You will lead on ensuring academies comply with statutory responsibilities and OAT policy and guidelines and, where necessary, provide advice and support to academies. You will develop programmes and practices to help meet statutory guidelines and monitor practices across the Trust, developing academies to ensure they are centres of excellence in terms of safeguarding. Please see the attached job description for full details and person specification.
If this sounds like you, and you would like to know more about the role, please contact Sunita Yardley-Patel, Head of Governance on 07584 146435 for an informal discussion. Completed applications together with a covering letter explaining why you are interested in and suitable for the role, should be submitted by Monday 2 March 2020 at 5.00pm to firstname.lastname@example.org using the attached OAT application form.
Unfortunately, we are unable to accept applications in other formats but please contact us if you require an accessible application pack.
OAT is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and the expectation is that all staff will share this commitment. Therefore, the successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check with barred list check (child) via the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
