The City of Norwich School – An Ormiston Academy is an exciting, forward thinking Academy with a large and thriving Sixth Form. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Music to join our team who:

  • has high standards in all that they do
  • has a passion for learning and loves teaching
  • is willing to try out new ideas and is ambitious for both themselves and the students

The music department has strong links with The Guildhall School of Music and Drama, the Norfolk Music Service and Hub and Norwich Theatre Royal. With 15 weekly music ensembles and 10 visiting peripatetic staff music is a flourishing subject within the school and community, running regular concerts, shows and participating in local events. These successful partnerships have culminated in being nominated for a Pearson National Teaching Award for ‘Impact through partnership’. The department has run international tours, puts on musical productions and runs a music scholarship programme for students joining in year 7. The department is now looking to grow its music technology provision to work alongside our current offer.
