Ormiston Denes Academy is a thriving and ambitious academy under new leadership. We are seeking to appoint a dedicated Technology Technician, to work with and inspire our next generation. You may have some or no school experience, but be committed to the idea of working with young people.

Ormiston Denes is a thriving and ambitious academy, rapidly moving towards Ofsted Outstanding. Under new leadership we have just recorded our highest ever student outcomes, increasing the proportion of students gaining English and mathematics by twenty percentage points to 53%, with progress in both subjects well above the national average. As part of Ormiston we place a high value on staff development, both in teaching and leadership and we are looking for a committed, talented individual to join our Technology Team.

Ormiston Academies Trust is an ethical sponsor, committed to improving the life chances of young people. We share their vision for all young people to have the highest academic, social and practical skills to allow them to lead a fulfilling life. http://www.ormistonacademiestrust.co.uk/

Our aim is for every student to make outstanding progress across the curriculum. This is through receiving engaging teaching that focuses on engendering a love of learning and extra-curricular opportunities that spark a passion for something outside of the classroom. If you are ready to lead an academy that expects nothing but the best for its students and feel you have the qualities to meet the demands of this highly rewarding position, then we wish to hear from you.

We are seeking to appoint a keen and dedicated individual who will assist in supporting general upkeep of the food and textiles rooms. You will need to be outgoing, organised and have a flexible approach to your work. Your role will be to help maximise students’ potential for learning. Duties will include upkeep of the textiles and food rooms, checking hand equipment (both manual and electric) are ready for student use, preparation of materials and resources for practical and theory lessons and stock control, ordering, maintaining wall displays and assisting students with practical work in both food and textiles.

We are looking for a team player who:

• has a passion for education
• is innovative, self-motivating and able to inspire others
• has the highest expectations of all young people
• enjoys working as part of a team to ensure the success of the academy
In return Ormiston Denes Academy will offer you:

• a thriving, innovative learning community, committed to excellence
• a supportive, welcoming team of professionals
• extensive support and development opportunities both within and outside OAT
This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the lives of young people in East Anglia. If you are interested in being at the leading edge of education, believe that all young people can achieve high standards and are prepared to work tirelessly to ensure their success, we want to hear from you.

Ormiston Denes Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.
