Alistair Thom

Alistair is a chartered accountant, qualifying at Sky where he began his career. He then worked for KPMG where he advised a range of FTSE-listed organisations on a wide range of complex issues, often involving strategy development or finance-specific challenges. More recently, Alistair was the CEO of Freesat, a satellite television company which he transformed from an organisation reliant on shareholder investment to a profitable business with a diverse range of revenue streams. Currently, Alistair is working as an adviser at TalkTalk supporting the launch of a new television device.

Alistair is a strong believer in education being a key enabler of social mobility and that every child should be supported to ensure they get the opportunity to develop both inside and outside of the classroom. Alistair has been a member of the finance and capital committee at OAT since 2020.
