City of Norwich School celebrates A-level success

Finding out those all-important results!
Students and staff at City of Norwich School (CNS) are celebrating today after receiving their A-level results, enabling them to secure places at their chosen universities, on coveted apprenticeships and selected jobs.
The sixth form students at CNS have achieved some excellent results which reflect the hard work and commitment shown throughout their studies.
Students across the academy performed well, with some of the individual standout achievements including:
Our head students, Mabel Lea, Mimi Ronson and Justin Podlipskij who, this year, have made such a difference across the school by leading the national award-winning school magazine, projects on languages, cultural diversity through literature, and tackling harmful behaviours through student leadership, and who have achieved three A*s and seven A grades between them. Mabel takes up a place at Oxford to read biochemistry.
Gabriel Moore and Jacob Pierce who have both achieved four A*s. Gabriel, who studied history, geography, politics and EPQ, will go on to the University of Cambridge to read history and Modern Languages, and Jacob, who studied art, geography, maths and EPQ, will go on to the University of Sheffield to read architecture.
Poppy Hewitt and Kate Hubery will both be studying veterinary science. Poppy at Edinburgh and Kate at Liverpool, having achieved an A* and six A grades between them.
Idabell Binns and Freya Matthews both accept OxBridge places, having achieved four A*s and four A grades between them. Idabell will read history at Oxford and Freya will read archaeology at Cambridge.
Eve Boulter-Dolder and Emilia Butcher-Marroqui who both achieved two A*s and two A grades each will be going on to study maths at UEA University and psychology at York respectively.
Jo Philpott, Headteacher said: “Today has been such a special day, full of joy, for our students and their families receiving their A’ level results. The Class of 2023 did not sit GCSE exams and conducted themselves superbly through their first public examinations. We are thrilled by their achievements which have enabled them to secure pathways on a vast range of universities courses including five Oxbridge places, two veterinary places, as well as higher level apprenticeships and employment. I am very proud of our students and their contribution to the wider school and local community and wish them every success in their chosen pathways. My thanks to our brilliant staff who have taught and guided our students through their sixth form journey and our parents for their support.”
