Our approach to working collaboratively to support, develop and quality-assure our academies.
The work of our education team (including the curriculum, teacher and personal development team) supports the education of over 30,000 pupils across 42 academies by ensuring robust quality assurance, alongside the development of a clear strategy for improvement, for each academy.
The role of the curriculum, teacher and personal development team, including our lead practitioners is to work in academies developing provision. Lead practitioners are subject experts who help bolster school improvement through enhancing curriculum and teacher development, supporting teachers at all levels. The team also brings subject networks together promoting best practice to drive up standards. This function has an expert team who assist with academy personal development education, from PSHE/RSHE to character education, enrichment and social action.
The team is responsible for teacher development from initial teacher training (through our School-Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT)) to delivery of the Early Career Teachers programmes, and delivery of the full suite of NPQs and internal leadership training programmes to headship.
