GCSE celebrations for Ormiston Park Academy students

Students at Ormiston Park Academy are celebrating today after receiving their GCSE results, as they get ready to take their next steps in their education journey.

Everyone has come together to mark the achievements of all the students, who have worked exceptionally hard over the past couple of years to secure these grades.

Alongside the continued success of the academy, some particular individual highlights include:

Joseph Solomon who successfully achieved Distinction* in engineering, Distinction in multimedia, Merit in business studies and grade 5 or above in six other subjects.
Milana Darzniece secured grade 9 in Russian, grade A childcare and grade 5 or above in seven other subjects.
Subject areas where students have produced some excellent results are childcare (six A*s, fourteen As and twelve Bs), business studies (four Distinctions, nine Merits), multimedia (six Distinctions), music (four Distinctions and eleven Merits), performing arts (six Distinctions and three Merits), and art and design (six Merits).

Mark Roessler, principal said: “The success of our students this year reflects the hard work they have put in, not just during exam season but across the five years since beginning their secondary education and the Covid-19 disruptions they have had along the way. As they prepare for their next chapters, they should be incredibly proud of what they have achieved, as all of us at Ormiston Park Academy are.”
